Researcher/Writer

Steven James has worked as a researcher, analyst, writer, and editor at Generational Insights since 2008. Trained in historical research at Yale University, he has over twenty years of experience in research, writing, and editing. In that time, he has provided original research, written content, and edited publications for artists, architects, academics, professional speakers, novelists, photographers, universities, archives, encyclopedias, and government contractors.Following graduate studies and teaching fellowships at Yale University, Steven taught history at Loyola University, Tulane University, and Spring Hill College. At Tulane, he also served as assistant dean with responsibility for public affairs and programs. Following nearly ten years at Tulane, Steven was director of proposals for the government contractor DRC Group, where his proposals won multi-million dollar contracts from agencies such the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, among hundreds of others. Since 2009, he has worked exclusively as a content consultant.Steven holds a bachelors degree from Louisiana State University and an M.A. and an M.Phil, both from Yale University, and is a proud New Orleanian.
